Sunday Makeup Class at Jesi Mendez Salon

March 7, 2012

If there’s one thing I would love to do in a very long time, it’ll be attending a makeup class or even workshop. I’ve been looking highs and lows for a good makeup class in Manila but unfortunately due to lack of budget [most of the makeup classes I’ve seen over the web are either expensive because they are sponsored by high-quality brands or from a well reputable school or makeup artist like MUD or SOFA] and also location wise that I didn’t bother to enroll in any of them. Not when Martha of TheBeautyJunkee had a giveaway slots for a free makeup class from a reputable salon chains in Manila, Jesi Mendez Salon, it finally caught my attention.

Review: Maybelline’s The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara

March 4, 2012

I have been loyal to Maybelline in terms of their mascaras. I’m pretty sure they have
garnered a good reputation for their high quality mascaras in a drugstore price. I saw this Maybelline Falsies mascara on one of Blair aka Juicystar07 makeup tutorial and I love how it gives her like a false lashes in a tube. I knew I had to get one but unfortunately it’s not locally available in Maybelline counters. Although sometime last December I was able to score one in a local Watson store and I instantly bought without even testing the product [they don’t even have testers btw since the saleslady said it was fresh stock]. I totally forgot the price but I got it in Watsons Mall of Asia, 2nd branch right next to theatres. You can also score one but in some selected Watson or Maybelline counters. I think you can also get Falsies at the local Duty Free.

Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

So I finally caved in to the hype and bought one of these. I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz on these lip butters for quite some time in random beauty blogs and forums and somehow it intrigues me on how they rave and recommend these Revlon Lip Butters. I have been a huge fan of Revlon lip products [my HG lipstick is from their Matte collection called Mauve it Over] and I think they are one of the drugstore brands that make good lipsticks in the world without the pricey tag.

Golden Globes!

January 17, 2012

live tweeting during the show

Last year I made a list of the most amazing gowns I’ve seen in the 68th Golden Globe Award. While I didn’t have time to watch TV nor care about live streaming due to the fact that I’m still suffering from my employment in telco company, I made some research (mostly Tumblr and gossip sites haha) of all of the awesomest gowns I could get, and also some hilarious moments during GG via torrent. Here’s the link of the previous ones.

Since the Golden Globe happens annually, I made sure I’ll be able to catch it on the telly (via E! Channel awhile ago) even if I didn’t had a proper breakfast during that time. 😛 The only thing I actually hated is that Ricky Gervais wasn’t getting much exposure since last year’s because he gained so much controversy from insulting celebrities (which to be honest, it was really brilliant, also I’m a bit bias because I love British humor than American humor #truestory. Funny that Hollywood Foreign Press still invited him to hosts this year). Anyway moving on here are my top picks (via JustJared): Read more…
